Minecraft-Buy it now!
The best reason I've heard yet in arguing why people should buy this game while it is still in the testing process is this: It's the best of Survivor and Lego's in one indefinite game package.
As of yet, there is no real story to this game, and your only motive is to survive as long as possible without dying. Sounds easy, right? Some of the nastier enemies you'll face, being zombies and skeletons, will die once exposed to sun. However, this does not mean you're safe! There are still spiders and (worst of all) creepers to deal with. Although the games blocky graphics are cute and innocent looking, this game teaches you to be afraid of the dark. And of exploding green pig people.
You are basically stuck in a wilderness of sorts and have to build stuff to survive. The first most basic element is wood. You can do nothing else until you have wood. This is good because all you have to do is hit a tree and it will eventually give you wood, which can be used to make a crafting table which is used to make tools which is used to make a shelter. The faster you have a safe secure well-lit shelter, the better your chances are for survival. Of course, as you play you can find better materials with witch to make better tools which can be used to get better materials, and so on.
Also, you can build ANYTHING!!! Although you're limited on what can be made on the crafting table (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Crafting), limitless possibilities await the player once the materials have been gathered. Here is what some people are doing in minecraft:
Final reason: it's half price right now. For the equivalent of about $15(?) US dollars this game can be yours, but only if you get it before the testing period ends. Now, being the tester you would think you would get paid, but in a way you are getting paid once the testing is done. The full version will be worth at least $50 (my own estimate, so don't take it to heart), and you get it for free once the game is complete. Please buy!!!!
(If you own the game and like it, please support this argument or add your own. Hate it? Post your counter argument.)
